Lockdown Continues. My head’s in a better place today. The Quarantine crew work long hours away from Family. I gave the volunteers outside my door, a cake of white tea and a teapot with five cups: A table for tea; A short moment to sleep; Thermo-pots for sale, they nest nicely;  I finally got around…

Didn’t do much. The day drifted by in in a brain fog. Some thermal insulation arrived and I spent all afternoon fitting it to my all-in-one brewing pot. This should improve the thermal efficiency and temperature stability during mashing. Didn’t even look out the window today.

I looked outside the window today… The volunteers take a break; Then I went for a walk, I have to line up for a stab in the nose: garbage is an enormous logistics issue; it’s easy to forget that the white suits need portaloos too; and transport; In line for testing, doggies need a walk…

Mundane reality starts to show its face. No tests today. Temperature, weight… tea… pre-prep some meats and bread, record keeping; laundry, rechargeable… something to eat…

Old white tea is good for, “diplomatic” immunity: it calms the nerves and enhances tolerance 😜 and testing took only 30min today, but… what is this festive, park-like behaviour? I know it’s sunny, and nice, yet this is not the meaning of, “Stay in you homes!” Is it?
